Radical re-imaginations of the future | Cross-Community Gathering
Details
An online gathering co-organized by Design Reparations, Inclusive Design Jam, Humanitarian Designers, Design Changemakers and UX for Change.
With the rise of anti-rights politics, plans of militarization and the degradation of our ecosystems, we are all feeling the grief and the exhaustion of disappointment, in our common commitment towards social justice, dignity and regeneration.
While these feelings are important and we need to acknowledge them, we believe that hope is a practice and that no future will ever exist if we are not going to imagine it together.
Let’s get together for an exercise of radical, ecological, reciprocal, trans-national, and just co-imagination.
What to Expect
During this event, we will explore collective creativity to imagine, visualize and materialize worlds where:
- colonial, economical, and social structures are dismantled
- Indigenous knowledge is recognized as equal
- All forms of life are respected and upheld
- Land is restored and given back to their ancestral custodian
- Relationships are repaired and healed through dialogue and global solidarity
"It always seems impossible until it's done."
- Nelson Mandela
Accessibility
We will offer closed captions, a live transcript, and multiple modes of participation (for instance, chat, live discussion, small group conversation, etc).
