It’s Autumn, and Product Is… BACK! Join us for a fascinating evening where we take a deep dive into the physical and digital worlds of tech.

Emidio Piermarini, Product Manager at Converge, will be our guide on this thought-provoking journey, delving into the fascinating interplay between physical and digital solutions.

This event will be at Zebra People's HQ in Hoxton Square. Please note the venue is only accessible via stairs.

Get ready for an engaging evening packed with insightful discussion, friendly connections (both new and familiar faces welcome!), and delicious refreshments courtesy of Zebra People (we'll have the classic drinks and pizza combo ready).

--- THE THEME - PRODUCT IS... PHYSICAL? ---
Marc Andreessen, a renowned Silicon Valley engineer and venture capitalist, famously declared in 2011, "software is eating the world." However, in predominantly construction industries such as ConstructionTech, have software-only solutions gone hungry?

In industries where software-only solutions have dominated for nearly four decades, yet productivity has declined during that period, should we question the effectiveness of software-only approaches? With a surge of Internet of Things (IoT) and hardware solutions entering the market, could the future of tech products be more physical?

Join us as we delve into a discussion about handling the interface between physical and digital. Emidio Piermarini, Product Manager at Converge, will lead us in exploring how AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) has traditionally approached tech in a software-only fashion, something that inherently limits the impact of technology on any industry with a focus on more physical problem spaces.

Emidio will pose the question - are we too reliant on software that only takes manual input? Can we can ever expect software-only tools to make transformative impact?

-------- ABOUT 'PRODUCT IS...' --------
PM’s, UX & UI designers, user researchers, developers - you like to dream big when it comes to digital products… Now it’s time share your perspective!

‘Product is…’ grounds itself in informed, knowledgable context and healthy conversation - vital ingredients to tech success. One keynote speaker sets the tone on a theme of less travelled subject matter before all attendees add their perspective during the second half of round table-style discussion.

Don’t expect standard tech meetup fare like “How to improve your CV/Portfolio for that dream job at Facebook” or “How this new framework/approach will improve your workflow” - this meetup is food for the mind, but also a place to meet like-minded big-thinkers!

We welcome everyone who works in tech - EVERYONE has a valuable perspective that we can all learn from.

-------- NOTICE FOR RECRUITMENT AGENTS --------
This meetup is designed for product professionals to connect and share insights.

Unfortunately, we wont be unable to accommodate recruitment agents representing agencies or competitor companies to Zebra People.

In this case, we will be happy to offer a full refund for your ticket.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but we aim to create a focused environment for our target audience.

-------- WHY WE CHARGE FOR TICKETS --------
We do not aim to make a profit from this meetup, our goal is to create healthy and interesting conversations, meet new people and make new connections. Speakers and the organising team give up their time free of charge to ensure the events are enjoyable for all.

However a small charge is required for attendance - BUT this is so the organisation team can cover overheads - basically the Meetup.com subscription.
