--- THE THEME - PRODUCT IS... DEBATING ACCESSIBILITY ---
Creating accessible digital products is a complex challenge that varies greatly across different tech landscapes. From the fast-paced world of early-stage startups to the structured environment of consultancy, how do approaches differ when it comes to inclusivity?
Paul and Jenny will each bring their unique perspective to the table, representing the often contrasting realities of startups and consultancy firms. They’ll debate the feasibility, challenges, and practicalities of embedding accessibility into product design – when resources, time, and organizational structures can vary so drastically.
Come along as we tackle the big question: can accessibility truly be made a priority for all digital products? Or do the differences between the different production environments - freelance, startup, consultancy, large product companies - mean that accessibility is a journey unique to each?
Don’t miss out on this lively debate that will leave you with fresh perspectives, new insights, and maybe even some answers!

-------- ABOUT 'PRODUCT IS...' --------
PM’s, UX & UI designers, user researchers, developers - you like to dream big when it comes to digital products… Now it’s time share your perspective!
‘Product is…’ grounds itself in informed, knowledgable context and healthy conversation - vital ingredients to tech success. One keynote speaker sets the tone on a theme of less travelled subject matter before all attendees add their perspective during the second half of round table-style discussion.
Don’t expect standard tech meetup fare like “How to improve your CV/Portfolio for that dream job at Facebook” or “How this new framework/approach will improve your workflow” - this meetup is food for the mind, but also a place to meet like-minded big-thinkers!
We welcome everyone who works in tech - EVERYONE has a valuable perspective that we can all learn from.
-------- NOTICE FOR RECRUITMENT AGENTS --------
This meetup is designed for product professionals to connect and share insights.
Unfortunately, we wont be unable to accommodate recruitment agents representing agencies or competitor companies to Zebra People.
In this case, we will be happy to offer a full refund for your ticket.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but we aim to create a focused environment for our target audience.
-------- WHY WE CHARGE FOR TICKETS --------
Our goal is to spark engaging conversations, meet new people, and build connections. Both speakers and organizers volunteer their time to make each event enjoyable for everyone.
However a small charge is required for attendance - BUT this is so the organisation team can cover overheads - basically the Meetup.com subscription.
