The presentation focuses on the work of the Swiss Center for Design and Health (SCDH). It introduces the center and explains its mission to explore the relationship between design and health.
The talk presents the simulation-based hospital design testing framework and demonstrates how mock-up simulations can support planning and decision-making for healthcare infrastructure. A practical use case from Humanitas Stiftung shows how these methods are applied and the impact they can have. Finally, the presentation connects these insights to the field of UX, offering an outlook on future opportunities for user-centered design in healthcare contexts.

🧍♂️ About the Speaker
David Wollschlegel is a Project Lead for Interaction Design at the Swiss Center for Design and Health (SCDH). He researches how technology can support collaboration and decision-making in the planning and design of infrastructure. He is also interested in the interaction between space, technology, and people in healthcare contexts. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design from Zurich University of the Arts. With a background in web development, he previously worked at an eHealth start-up.
