About the Talk - The AI Conversation: Reshaping User Expectations

Dive into how AI's amazing ability to understand and process language is fundamentally changing what product designers need to deliver. This presentation explores the exciting new landscape where conversational AI is redefining user expectations for product experiences, interaction design, and intuitive interfaces, challenging us to craft even smarter, more human-centric products.

About the Speaker:
I'm Alan Cohen, Head of Design at NFON, a cloud communications company rapidly embracing AI-driven innovation. I'm also a proud graduate of MIT's 'Designing and Building AI Products and Services' program. Born in Argentina (making me a natural-born World Champion!), I moved to Israel in my teens before settling in Germany in 2018. My career journey has taken me through both dynamic startups and established corporate organizations, and I've also enjoyed mentoring emerging startups. I'm passionate about crafting intuitive and meaningful user experiences, especially as AI reshapes how we interact with products and what we expect from them.
Off the clock, I'm the proud father of two beautiful little ones who keep me happily short on sleep, a dedicated husband, and a dog owner. When I do get a moment, you'll find me hiking and doing hobby photography, diving into video games, getting lost in books or movies, or cheering on a football match – a typical nerd with an Argentinian's obligated love for the game!

About the Talk - Designing for dignity

In a world where technology is shaping more and more of our daily lives, how we design experiences matters deeply — not just in terms of usability, but in how we treat people. What does it mean to design products, services, and systems that truly respect human needs, values, and vulnerabilities? From healthcare to social platforms, from error messages to onboarding flows — our design choices can either empower users or make them feel small, excluded, or judged. In this talk, we’ll explore why dignity should be a core design principle, how it connects to accessibility, inclusion, and trust — and what it means for us as designers. Together, we’ll look at examples, raise important questions, and reflect on how we can bring more humanity into our design practice.
