About the talk
One of the great things about UX roles is we can get stuck into all kinds of research relatively easily. But our enthusiasm, pragmatism, and impending deadlines can sometimes lead us on to shaky ground, producing results and recommendations which might not always stand up to scrutiny. In this interactive talk I'll help you reflect on where your research practice might be weakest, and provide strategies for overcoming common obstacles. We'll also cover the opposite: tactics for defending your good research against criticism.

Kathryn is a UX Researcher at Cardiff University, focusing on data, behavioural analysis, and short meetings. She has worked in a variety of software houses and marketing agencies and is currently embroiled in the Google Analytics upgrade.
