Prototype like you've never prototyped before! Natalie Carey

Natalie Carey is the creator of Now Prototype It, an open source prototype kit which allows you to prototype websites based on your organisation's design system. She sees two distinct approaches to prototyping in the industry, on one side there's easy-to-create prototypes which are less realistic, on the other side there's ultra-realistic prototypes which are harder to build.

Now Prototype It looks to fill that gap by providing tooling which makes it much easier to build a realistic prototype based on your design system.

In this session we'll build a prototype together, get it hosted, and share a time-limited link. While we're doing this we'll be discussing how to make the most of a high-fidelity prototype, how it compares with other options and how organisations can start using Now Prototype It today.

Natalie is a software developer who takes a holistic view to projects, she gets involved in product discussions and often becomes the hinge point between the designers and developers.

She worked as the technical lead for the GOV.UK Prototype Kit and now works on Now Prototype It - an open source prototype kit powered by your design system.

Natalie is passionate about supporting realistic user research, she has been involved in supporting UK Government departments in this area since 2017. Now she's bringing that experience to the wider industry.
