Healthcare Prototype-A-Thon — Philly Tech Week

BIG NEWS! The successful design thinking event we did back in January is back - in a new form! This time we've teamed up with Philly Tech Week, and we're opening it up beyond our Shame on UX meetup group to everyone in the Tech Week community. Bigger means better, because this event involves a cash prize!

We have modified the format, so listen up:

Teams will choose from one of several healthcare challenges provided by the event organizers and our panel of judges. You'll then have an hour and a half to design a "physical prototype" for your solution using household objects like pipe cleaners and popsicle sticks.

You can enter alone or as a team – each team can be 3-5 people, and we'll group solo participants into teams at the event.

At the end of the competition, each team will get the opportunity to pitch their solution to a panel of expert judges drawn from Philly's healthcare and design communities.

The winning team will receive a cash prize of $500, plus the adoration of their peers and everyone in attendance. (Every participant will also receive some cool Shame On UX / Prototype-A-Thon swag, regardless of outcome. We're all winners here.)
