UXDX Community: Embracing AI & Fixing Process - Berlin

Details

An in-person series specifically focused on helping product teams in Berlin bridge the gap between UX, Product, Design, and Dev, and to build better products faster, together.

Important: It is mandatory that you register on the main UXDX site to get your FREE ticket. Clicking attend on Meetup will not give you access to join as we need to consolidate numbers to one location.

NOTE: The event's address will be provided upon completion of the registration process.

Sections:
6:00-6:20 PM: Networking

6:20-6:30 PM: Welcome talk from our ambassadors: Pauline Frances, UX Research Lead at Universal Music GmbH; Victor Petrichenko, Quant UX Researcher at SumUp.

6:30-7:00 PM: Talk by Rachel Ganz, European skills leader: Total UX at Arup "What Goes Wrong in Product Development and How We Can Recover: Work as Imagined vs. Work as Done": She delves into the discrepancies between 'work as imagined' and 'work as done', shedding light on why projects often don't go as planned. Rachel will dissect real-world scenarios where product expectations differed from the actual outcomes, and how these challenges were navigated.

7:00-7:30 PM: Talk by Eddie Kim, Senior Product Designer at AutoScout24, "Ahead of the Curve: Embracing AI in Your Design Practice": In the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence, design practitioners and teams face both excitement and anxiety about what the future holds. AI is here to stay, and Eddie is ready to address it head-on in his talk. Drawing from key highlights of his research as part of the AI Guild at AutoScout24, Eddie dives into how AI influences the design world. He seeks to answer a pivotal question: How should designers and teams adapt and position themselves amidst the technological AI wave? Sharing his comprehensive exploration and insights, Eddie provides best practices and highlights potential risks. His talk is tailored for a wide range of design professionals, including UXers, visual designers, writers, and researchers. Leaders and contributors looking to stay ahead of the curve will find this session essential, as it guides how to (cautiously) embrace the potential of AI in the design process.

7:30-8:30 PM: Closing remarks and networking
