This listing is here to increase visibility for this unique gathering and to invite you to join fellow experience enthusiasts in Vienna for a day of deep diving into People Experience, Brand Experience, User Experience, Customer Experience, and everything related to experience design, strategy, technology, and culture.

The UCPX barcamp is an interactive, participant-driven day. There are no "spectators", only contributors. We co-create the agenda on the morning of the event, ensuring the conversations are exactly what the community wants to talk about: from experience design and strategy to technology and culture. Best of all, the €10 ticket includes breakfast, lunch, and drinks for the entire day!When: Friday, 13 February 2026 (08:00 – 20:00)

Join us for a beer (or any other drink) and a nice discussion at our next UX/UI book club. This time we are talking about "Factfulness" by Hans Rosling.### Why We’re Wrong About the World (and Why That’s Good News)
The Book: Factfulness: Ten Reasons We're Wrong About the World – and Why Things Are Better Than You Think by Hans Rosling.
The Hook: When asked simple questions about global trends—like "How many girls finish primary school?" or "How has the number of deaths from natural disasters changed?"—most people get the answers spectacularly wrong. In fact, Hans Rosling’s research shows that investment bankers, professors, and even Nobel laureates score worse than chimpanzees choosing answers at random.
But why? Are we just pessimistic? Or is our hardware outdated?What we’ll be discussing: In our next session, we’re diving into Factfulness, the book Bill Gates called "one of the most important books I’ve ever read." Rosling, a legendary global health expert, doesn't just give us a pep talk; he gives us a toolkit. He identifies the 10 dramatic instincts—from our tendency to split the world into "us vs. them" to our obsession with "straight lines"—that distort our perception of reality.
