[🌐 Remote] Speaking the Same Language: Building a Common Understanding in UX

In the UX field, we often talk about the same things but not always in the same way. With new buzzwords and trends constantly emerging, it’s easy to lose sight of shared terminology and standards. Yet, if we want to be recognized as a mature and respected profession, we need to speak the same language — grounded in common concepts, definitions, and norms.

At this meetup, two pioneers of the Graz UX scene will share their insights:

Konrad Baumann, Professor at FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences, has shaped generations of UX designers - not only in Graz but around the world. He will give an overview of the UX-related standards and norms that form the backbone of our field.

Hannes Robier, founder of youspi — the first company in Graz fully dedicated to UX — and organizer of the world-renowned World Usability Congress, will talk about UX certification and accreditation and what they mean for professionalizing our discipline.

Join us to explore how we, as UX professionals, can align our language, embrace shared standards, and strengthen our identity as a unified, credible field.
