Behavioral Product Design – with Dr. Philipp Spreer

Today, complex products in particular (think insurance, finance, telecommunications) are developed by extremely knowledgeable experts. That sounds good, but often poses a challenge for sales. Because the greater the expertise, the greater the distance to the customer - a classic "curse of knowledge".

Behavioral product design is an approach that can help here: taking behavioral economic principles and experimental methods into account, products are created that deserve to be called "user-centric" again - and that are significantly more successful on the market. Philipp will present the Behavioral Product Design approach and practical examples.

About Philipp:
Philipp Spreer is a behavioral strategist and managing partner at the digital consultancy elaboratum. He has helped more than 100 companies use applied behavioral science to develop superior digital experiences, boost sales and service quality, and create truly relevant products.

Philipp holds a PhD in consumer behavior from the University of Göttingen and has authored two books on digital decision making and applied behavioral science - PsyConversion® became a bestseller and will be available internationally in September 2024.

As a representative of elaboratum's Behavioral Design Unit, he received the "Overall Winner" award from the Global Association of Applied Behavioural Scientists (GAABS), where Robert Cialdini served as jury chairman.

This time, we're introducing a new format to make our UXPS sessions more interactive and collaborative.

  • We'll use a Miro board to collect questions.

  • Everyone can also place inputs about topics that might interest others.

  • Participants are encouraged to unmute themselves to speak out or ask questions during the talk.

  • We'll also have a dedicated Q&A session at the end for additional questions.

  • As we don’t have any sponsors yet (sponsors welcome), we need to start charging a very small amount (1-5€) to cover the cost of streaming tools and preparation work.

We believe this approach will enhance engagement and ensure we cover topics that are important to you. Looking forward to your active participation!

Cheers and… happy Thinking.
