·OnlineOnlineIs AI a revolution that will finally ensure full web accessibility, or is it a dangerous trap? Join Radek and Lukáš to discuss the pressing question of whether AI tools promising automatic "fixes" (such as accessibility overlays, auto-alt texts, and automatic captions) actually lead to a false sense of security and may even cause more harm than good by generating inaccurate descriptions for screen reader users. We will go through specific examples of where AI fails and where, conversely, it proves to be an invaluable assistant—for instance, in automatic video transcription or in detecting complex code errors that are difficult for humans to spot.
Beyond practical application, we will delve into the ethical dimension: Who is responsible when AI generates inaccessible content? And how does this technology fundamentally change the role of the UX designer, who moves from being a creator to an auditor of artificial intelligence outputs? Join the discussion on one of the most current and controversial topics in digital design and gain a clear perspective on the future of accessibility with AI.

This listing is here to increase visibility for this unique gathering and to invite you to join fellow experience enthusiasts in Vienna for a day of deep diving into People Experience, Brand Experience, User Experience, Customer Experience, and everything related to experience design, strategy, technology, and culture.

Why you should be there:
The UCPX barcamp is an interactive, participant-driven day. There are no "spectators", only contributors. We co-create the agenda on the morning of the event, ensuring the conversations are exactly what the community wants to talk about: from experience design and strategy to technology and culture. Best of all, the €10 ticket includes breakfast, lunch, and drinks for the entire day!
