In April we will be joined by Dr. Mariana Salgado, a Service Designer working at the Ministry of the Interior in Finland where she is also the leader of a network of 450 designers working at the ministry.

Mariana will talk about a recent project about creating preliminary studies for the next immigration law formally called the “Aliens Act” (yes, Aliens :)).

She is also the host of Design & Diaspora, one of the most popular design podcasts in the spanish-speaking parts of the world with over 6.000 listeners. She will share her experience on what she has learned from interviewing over 50 designers working in the public sector.

In addition we will have an informal discussion with her on the role of a service designer in the public sector and the innovation laboratories with design approaches. Be ready for critical views and a professional that speaks clearly in a language that everybody can understand.

👀Who is this for?
We welcome everybody interested in (service) design, policy or innovation. You will love this meetup if you are a designer who works in the public sector (or would like to) OR if you are a public servant curious about (service) design.
