Design Thinking: Lessons from the Special Operations Community

Details
User experience design (UX) has become the spearhead of organizations/companies trying to win the hearts and the minds of their customers (present and potential). This is no small task in a world where change is constant (and fast). UX professionals have to perform at high levels and keep up with that change in order to create the best experiences. They work in small teams at fast pace trying to understand what experiences will win those hearts and minds to win the competitive war for customers. These kinds of environments are not new, and the "warriors" who fight those kind of wars already exists in different disciplines.
This Meetup will explore the lessons learned from the special operations forces (SOF) community, and their applicability to the UX community. I will explore some of the key lessons learned during a course I've attended (SOF Design and Innovation Basic Course) at the Joint Special Special Operations University (JSOU) in Florida, as well key findings of my studies in the field.
Looking forward to see you all Tuesday - "Who Dares Wins"
