Alla Prima Painting: Master Study Workshop

Join Vadim Zang for workshops focused on classical drawing and painting based on academy principles. The Alla Prima Painting: Master Study Workshop class requires strong drawing skills and a solid knowledge of figure/head construction. The class will focus on colors, composition, shapes, volumes, and likeness. Each session will work on interpreting the unique characteristics of a selected master artist, such as Rubens, Velázquez, Rembrandt, Bouguereau, Repin, Sargent, and more. Materials needed include:

• Kneaded Eraser
• Canvas 11x14, 12x16, 14x18 (Canvas should gessoed and sandpapered prior to class)
• Oil Paints: Ochre Yellow, Cadmium Red, White, and Black (Zorne Palette)
• Brushes (Small, Medium, Big - some flat,some round)
• Palette Knife
• Palette
• Gamsol
• Linseed Oil
• Paper Towels
