Drawing the Human Form: Head & Figure Construction Class

Join Vadim Zang for workshops focused on classical drawing based on academy principles. In the Figure/Head Construction class, you will learn to build solid human forms from the inside out, using shape, symmetry, proportion, likeness, gesture, and range of volumes to build the structure in 3D. Each session is split evenly: two hours will focus on figure construction, and the other two on portraits. Classes are available on Zoom. Materials needed include:

• 9x12 or 11x14 sketchbook (smooth paper is ideal, less texture the better)
• H, HB, and 2B pencil
• Woodless graphite pencil (HB and B)
• Kneaded Eraser
• Small Point Eraser Pen (e.g. Tombow Mono Zero)
