Hands-on workshop on a large-scale production system

Valencia Codes and EDEM would like to welcome you to an event probably unlike any other you've been to!

This will be a hands-on technical workshop where we trial a novel new software experience designed to be a “flight simulator for engineers”.

You’ll SSH directly onto a server, it’ll spin up a production system then you’ll start working through a big system challenged based on a real-world scenario. You’ll tackle the challenge using 100% your own tools and tech. You can tackle the challenges solo, in a group, pair program, really however you wish. There is only one way to win - have fun! 🎉

The outcome? You’ll feel like if you were peering over the shoulder of a top Google SRE — you’ll pick up patterns and insights you can’t get from standard learning environments.

Think of it as an escape room meets DOOM for software engineers.

We are very lucky to be joined by the creators of this new software tool as well as the EDEM team who will be available to provide technical assistance if you get stuck.

To participate in the event you will need a laptop and to have some coding experience.
