How to set meaningful OKRs workshop by Javier Turegano, Engineering Leadership Advisor

In this workshop we'll explore how to set Objectives and Key Results that genuinely align a team or organization around what matters. It's a practical session: I'll walk through how the framework works and share how I've seen it used at companies like Canva and Slack. Then we'll run a collaborative exercise, with a bit of fun along the way, where you'll draft a set of OKRs together with other participants. You'll leave with a clear sense of what makes a good objective, how to choose key results you can actually measure, and how to avoid the most common traps.

Javier Turegano is an engineering leadership advisor, coach and trainer with more than 25 years in technology. He has been Director of Engineering at Canva, Slack/Salesforce and REA Group, leading teams across nine countries, and now helps engineers and leaders grow through his Staff Engineer and Engineering Manager bootcamps in Valencia and beyond.
