How to Calm Your Nervous System, Identify Emotions, and Reparent Yourself with Compassion and Empowerment
Do you ever feel overwhelmed by your emotions — reacting before you can think, shutting down, or stuck in loops of stress and self-criticism?
Maybe you find yourself pushing through on autopilot… or drowning in feelings you can’t name.
Or maybe… you just never learned the tools to regulate, reparent, and support yourself the way you needed.
Sometimes it shows up as apathy, lack of energy, or emotional numbness. Other times, you may feel strong emotions you don’t understand — or even fear. These can be signs of emotional flashbacks.
In this practicum, we’ll use body- and mind-based practices to help you self-regulate, calm your nervous system, and move toward a more balanced — even joyful — state. Through specialized somatic practices, you’ll learn how to bring yourself back from overwhelm, exhaustion, or emotional shutdown.
🧠 In this hands-on and empowering practicum, we’ll explore:
- How bottom-up regulation (body-based tools) calms your nervous system in real time.
- How top-down strategies (mind-based tools) reframe thoughts and shift patterns.
- Reparenting skills: learning to mother (nurture) and father (guide) yourself with compassion and structure.
- How to identify emotions accurately and move through them instead of getting stuck.
- What your body is telling you — and how to trust its signals as much as your mind.
🛡️ You’ll leave with practical tools to:
- Stay grounded and calm even in moments of stress.
- Recognize what you’re truly feeling — and respond with clarity.
- Give yourself the care and support you may have missed growing up.
- Build resilience so you’re not thrown off by daily challenges.
- Integrate practices you can use anytime, anywhere.
