Skills Day: Via Ferrata

Details

We’re thrilled to kick off this year’s Skills Day program with a Via Ferrata Skills Day at Villena, designed specifically for newcomers and those wanting a refresher. This event is all about building confidence, understanding the basics, and preparing for future adventures.
Leading the day is Mark Eddy , a seasoned Mountain Leader, Climbing Instructor, and the author of "Mountain Adventures, Costa Blanca." Mark’s deep expertise and passion for outdoor education make him the ideal person to introduce you to the essentials of via ferrata in a clear, approachable, and engaging way.
What This Day Offers:

  • Equipment Essentials
  • Beginner-Friendly Techniques
  • Expert Guidance

Why Join?
Via ferrata is more than an exciting activity—it develops skills that easily transfer to climbing, canyoning, and scrambling, all key adventures within our group. This Skills Day is the perfect way to begin building a multi-adventure skill set and preparing yourself for more opportunities to explore.
Participation in this event is also a gateway to joining our future via ferrata trips, as an instructor-led or skills-focused day—or equivalent experience—is required for advanced adventures.
Finally, this event marks the launch of our expanded Skills Day program, which will include dedicated sessions on canyoning, climbing, and progression days for both via ferrata and canyoning enthusiasts.
