Olive Harvest & Picking - 2021

This is a once in a year opportunity to harvest Olive in a family farm! Join us for a fun day of olive picking and learning.

Our host and his family has been taking care of his olive grove, using no pesticides whatsoever. We will help "comb" the trees and collect the olives, separate them from their leaves and put them in creates. They will be taken to a presser later, to make oil. We will share information about olives, like the process that's needed to make them edible. This is a chill event for those who'd like to have a nice day outdoors, picking Olives, chatting and picnic-ing for lunch together.

WHEN: Sunday, November 7th
WHERE: Finca Vilamarxant L'Olivereta
WHO: Everyone who wants to help (kids & pets are welcomed as well)
WHAT TO BRING: Hat, water, comfortable shoes and clothes, lunch (sandwiches, salads, bread, drinks, and anything else you want to eat and/or share)

15 Euro charge covers the transportation cost from Valencia to the Olive grove and back.

¡Esta es una oportunidad única al año de cosechar aceitunas en una granja familiar! Únase a nosotros para un divertido día de recolección de aceitunas y aprendizaje.

Yazid y su familia han estado cuidando su olivar, sin usar pesticidas de ningún tipo. Ayudaremos a "peinar" los árboles y recoger las aceitunas, separarlas de sus hojas y ponerlas en las creaciones. Posteriormente se llevarán a un prensatelas, para hacer aceite. Compartiremos información sobre las aceitunas, como el proceso que se necesita para hacerlas comestibles. Este es un evento relajado para aquellos que deseen pasar un buen día al aire libre, recogiendo aceitunas, charlando y haciendo un picnic para almorzar juntos.

El cargo de 15 euros cubre el costo del transporte desde Valencia hasta el Olivar y viceversa.
