Let's celebrate other holidays

We'll start the afternoon with a gumbo-making party, so if you like to cook or chop or stir or just be in the kitchen, join us as we put together a great big pot of gumbo. (You have the option of coming later, if you don't want to participate in the preparation.)

While the gumbo is cooking, we can settle in and watch one of the movies from the Knives Out collection, which have been featured in the New Orleans Film Festival. Then, we eat!

After gumbo, we can move on to learning Mahjong and eating Chinese desserts, in honor of The Year of the Fire Horse.

To help offset the cost of the gumbo ingredients and the Chinese desserts, I ask that you bring either $3 or a related side-dish. Just share in the comments which one you are going to contribute.
