Beat the heat and join us for a scenic, refreshing day ride!
We’ll stage at the Pilot Rock OHV Staging Area at 8:30 AM for a briefing and roll out at 9:00 AM. From there, we’ll head south along the ridge of Silverwood Lake until we reach 2N33, then continue east to Cedar Creek Natural Pool for a break (Bring your bathing suit and a towel). After the break, we'll continue on toward Big Pine Flat Campground and beyond. I haven't traveled past the designated Natural Pool area, so from that point on, it will be a new adventure.
FYI – The planned route includes a short section (approximately one mile) on SR-173, which is not designated as an official Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) route. If you'd like to join the ride but avoid the stretch of Highway 173, you can stage at the Pinnacles OHV staging area 34°17'51.9"N 117°12'01.8"W. Staging at the Pinnacles OHV area will cut approximately 14 miles off the initial leg of the ride (out and back), reducing your total ride by around 28 miles for the day. I'll make a stop there on the way out so you can join up with the group. By choosing to participate in this ride, you agree to hold the organizer harmless from any liability.

The Silverwood Lake Pilot Rock OHV staging area is a paid parking lot. There’s a QR code you can scan with your phone to pay through the website it directs you to.
I'll rate this ride as intermediate for SxS UTV type vehicles.
Miles will range from 40 to 65 depending on trail access.
Radio comunications, spare tire and spare belt (If your vehicle drive is via a belt) Required!
