Evening Birding at Welkinweir

Details
While we often hear that the early bird gets the worm, birds are also active at dusk. Join us for a Friday evening "after hours" stroll around the beautiful grounds of Welkinweir, formerly a private estate and now home to Green Valleys Watershed Association. We will enjoy the sounds and activities of birds and other fauna that are active during the 'golden hour' around sunset - which is a prime time for photography, too. Perhaps we'll be lucky enough to catch the beavers enjoying an evening swim in the pond!
Those new to birding and children are always welcome to join us. (All children must be accompanied by an adult.) Bring binoculars if you have them and wear sturdy shoes with good tread as all the footpaths are unpaved and uneven and can be muddy. Please note that there is also one steep hill to navigate.
This outing will cover a little over a mile and will last until sunset, which is around 8:30 pm.
A restroom is available on site.
Meet in the visitor parking lot west of the main entrance.
