Tuesday Morning Birding at Ellis Woods Park

Details
Ellis Woods Park is a bird-and-birder-friendly 71-acre expanse of woods, meadow, wetland, and cultivated farmland which is bordered by Pigeon Creek, a state-designated high-quality waterway. The park has been developed by East Coventry Township with birders in mind: the "Birder's Loop" trail features interpretive signs describing birds found in each habitat.
Our field trip will last about 2 hours and will cover 1-2 miles over mostly rolling terrain, but there will be some short, steep sections of trail to navigate. The uneven earthen trails will likely be muddy and slippery in spots, so good footwear is a must.
Please bring binoculars if you have them. All experience levels are welcome, including those just beginning their birding journey. Please note there is no restroom on site.
Leader: Wendy Sykora
