 Nature Photography at Chanticleer Garden

Details

Registration with Chanticleer is not required for this event and they will reserve parking spaces for attendees. We are limiting this event to 30 people so if you register to attend and change your mind, please change your registration status on Meet Up.

Nature photography spans a variety of styles and photographic approaches and involves its own unique set of challenges. Join two of VFAS's accomplished nature photographers and outings leaders – Kayann and Tony – for a "golden hour" field session where they will share tips on how to shoot everything from wildlife and landscapes to macro images of flowers and plants at beautiful Chanticleer Garden.

Whether you have a new camera that confuses you, want to fine-tune your skills, or just want to take better pictures with your point-and-shoot camera, come learn from these willing expert volunteers in a beautiful and friendly setting. Be aware that the pace of this outing will be very slow as the focus (pun intended) of the trip will be photography rather than birding. Restrooms are available on site. Wear sturdy walking shoes and dress for the weather.

In the case of inclement weather (which doesn’t go well with camera equipment) please check the VFAS website, Facebook, and MeetUp pages for updates on postponements or cancellations.

The Chanticleer entrance fee is waived for this event.

Leaders: Kayann Cassidy & Tony Nastase
