Moonrise Hike at FCSP

Details
Spend an evening of hiking and moonwatching with Valley Forge Audubon Society and DCNR naturalist and educator Jared Brandt.
We will hike the 3-mile loop around Hopewell Lake and then, if the cloud cover cooperates, we will watch the full Buck Moon rise at about 9 pm, just as the last of the daylight is leaving the sky.
Hikers should wear weather appropriate clothing and sturdy closed-toed shoes. We will be travelling on uneven dirt trails containing rocks and roots and which may be muddy in places. Please bring a water bottle and binoculars as we'll be watching not only for birds but also for those "crepuscular" creatures such as beavers that become active as the light fades.
Families with children are welcome to attend; all children should be able to hike up to 3 miles and must be accompanied by an adult.
Restrooms are available on site.
