Fall Native Plant Sale
Details
Are you looking to start a native plant garden and have no idea where to begin? On Saturday October 25, Valley Forge Audubon Society and West Whiteland Township's Bird Town Committee are sponsoring a native plant sale from noon to 2 pm. The event will be held in the pavilion at Catov Park in Exton.
Experienced native plant gardeners will be available to answer your questions and to recommend plants suitable for your space and habitat. Fall is an ideal season for planting because plants naturally direct their energy toward root development. This strong foundation helps the plants establish more quickly, resulting in healthier growth and earlier blooms compared to those planted in spring. And planting locally sourced native flowers and grasses is a great way to reduce the impact of stormwater while attracting butterflies and birds to your yard.
Don’t miss this opportunity to start your native plant garden this fall!
