Lower Perkiomen Valley Park offers the opportunity to bird along wooded edges and along the Perkiomen Creek. We will be walking in the grass and on wood chip-covered trails along the river to avoid the bikers and joggers on the paved trail. The grass will be wet so wear waterproof shoes or boots. This outing will be 2 to 3 hours and we will be looking for waterfowl along the creek, resident birds, and winter visitors.

Park in the lot at the end of New Mill Road (40.1244431, -75.4486112), where restrooms and the park office are located.

No prior knowledge of birds or birding is necessary to attend – beginners are always welcome! Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Bring binoculars if you have them. The leaders will have a pair to loan out.
