Beginners' Birding at Villanova University
Details
Come learn about birding at an institution of higher learning! The Falvey Library at Villanova University is welcoming all beginning birders for a mid-day stroll around campus which will be led by guides from the Valley Forge Audubon Society. In addition to spotting and identifying birds, we will learn about bird watching, local bird species, and citizen science tools like the Merlin bird ID app and eBird. Not an early bird yourself? Then the timing of this outing is perfect for you!
We will meet at the Villanova SEPTA station by Rosie's Coffee. You can park for free on campus at the L-2 lot (GPS: 40.03843, -75.34314, see map in "photos" below) which is a 10-minute walk from our starting point, or arrive via train on the Paoli/Thorndale line to be dropped off exactly where we will meet.
Bring binoculars if you have them; the guides will have a few pairs to loan out. Join us to celebrate spring and experience Villanova's campus in a whole new way.
