Beginners Birding Tour at Mill Grove
Details
New to bird-watching? This outing is just for you!
Join volunteers from the Valley Forge Audubon Society on the third Saturday of every month for a free birding tour created especially for beginners. If you’re new to birding or have been thinking about giving it a try, this is the perfect place to start. Our leaders will show you how to look for birds, listen for their calls, and notice the small details that make each species unique. No experience is needed — we’ll guide you every step of the way in a friendly, low‑pressure setting.
What to expect:
- We’ll walk on a mix of paved and natural paths. Most areas work for wheelchairs and strollers, though there are a few gentle slopes.
- Bring binoculars if you have them, but it’s completely fine if you don’t. We'll have some to loan out.
- Children are welcome and encouraged to come, but they must be accompanied by an adult.
- The outing will last about 2 hours, but you can leave whenever you need to.
- Public restrooms are available on site.
