April is a month of rapid change in nature, and every morning outing is full of new and delightful surprises. Migratory birds that breed in our area are arriving while some winter residents are still hanging around, and our year-round birds are well into breeding behaviors. If you’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to dust off your binoculars, this is it - last April we tallied 46 species during our event at Lundale. Dawn light, mild temperatures, and a cornucopia of birds make April one of the most rewarding times to be outside.

Our outing will cover 1-2 miles along the easy-to-navigate gravel farm road. Please bring binoculars if you have them. Beginners as well as children (accompanied by an adult) are always welcome at Valley Forge Audubon Society events.

A portable toilet is available on site.

Lundale Farm is a community of regenerative farmers who work to enhance the ecology, health, and diversity of the land. Because the farm is sustainably managed, it not only provides fresh local food for consumers but also provides excellent habitat in which birds can thrive. Please note that Lundale Farm is private property and access is by permission only or for special events such as this one. For more information, visit Home - Lundale Farm.
