Rocky Gap, Las Vegas BOH Adventure

Get ready for an epic adventure, Valley Jeepersters! Join us as we take on the Rocky Gap Trail — one of Nevada’s official Jeep Badge of Honor trails — just outside Las Vegas. This rugged route through the stunning Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area offers challenging terrain, tight canyon climbs, and incredible desert views. Whether you’re chasing a new badge or just love a good off-road challenge, this run promises great company, scenic stops, and plenty of adrenaline! Also, the views in the Red Rock Canyon are phenomenal rivaling most of the trails in Sedona! Get your Jeep ready, pack your lunch and bring your spirit of Adventure — it’s time to conquer Rocky Gap Trail together!!

This is a solid level 5 trail with a challenging rock garden to go through followed by steep climbs and descents on a narrow shelf road with sharp turns and plenty of optional obstacles to keep even the most built-up rigs entertained. This is a one-way trail approximately 8 miles long that will take us 4 to 5 hours to conquer. The trail predominantly consists of rock gravel and rock sections. We recommend 33-inch tires and at least one locker to conquer it. This trail will be led by one of our newest co-leaders David.

As always, please arrive with a full tank of gas at the designated meeting spot and be ready for a prompt departure. If you’re running late, please let us know by posting or messaging in the Meetup App. If your plans change and you’re unable to attend, please promptly remove yourself from the event so that others on the standby list can take your place.

We will Meet at the entrance of the Rocky Gap Trail, see coordinates below. It is about an hour south of the Hump-N-Bump event.
