Sycamore Creek + Widowmaker
Details
We will kick off the new year with a trip to Sycamore Creek. This Adventure has everything; beautiful scenery, water crossings, roller-coaster hills, rock climbing, and numerous optional obstacles of various difficulty levels to keep everyone entertained. Anyone looking for Extreme Adventure can also attempt the optional Squeeze Rock and level 6+ rock garden. I have done this trail at least a half dozen times by now, including at night and it never disappoints.
Most of the trail is moderate but there is a two-mile difficult section requiring high clearance and bigger tires. For that reason, the trail is rated 5. Gladiators will need 35+ inch tires and a 2 ½+ inch lift. This is a relatively short run and I expect the trail to be completed within 3 to 4 hours. Please do bring lunch and plenty of drinks!
Optional Adventure after Sycamore Creek will take us to Widowmaker where you can attempt to triumph over a short but extremely steep mountain, see video below. This optional Adventure will require front/rear lockers to make it to the top!
