Come join us for an amazing off-road Adventure in Anza Borrego! We have expanded attendee limit for this Adventure due to high level of participation and will be running two groups to accommodate every skill level. Group #1 Overlanding Adventure is fully booked but Group #2 ‘Rock Crawling Adventure” still has plenty of open slots for those looking for a challenge and a Badge Of Honor to add to your collection.

Group #2 will conquer level 5 and above. The group is limited to 10 Jeeps. We will run the trails below Friday and Saturday and will join Alan’s Group #1 on Sunday. To participate you will need at an absolute minimum; 35 inch tires, 2.5+ lift, rear locker and willingness to test your rigs capabilities and your own resolve. You will be rewarded with a Badge of Honor and a few scrapes and bumps along the way.

Friday: We will begin our adventure early morning meeting at 8:00 AM for prompt on-time departure to Pinyon Mountain Valley. You absolutely MUST have a full tank of gas before starting or you will be stranded! If you have spare gas can, bring it! Those of you running in a 392, spare gas can is a must. The trail itself is mostly a level 4 but two mandatory obstacles make it a level 6 to 7. The first one is “The Squeeze”. Per AI overlords’ description below: “This is a famous, extremely narrow, and technically challenging obstacle on the Pinyon Mountain Trail. Located between high rock faces, it requires skilled driving to navigate with only centimeters to spare, often necessitating a spotter, and is considered a badge-of-honor trail for 4x4 vehicle” Fenders and your tire rims most likely will be scratched going through it. On the plus side, this obstacle can only hurt your rig and not your life since there aren’t any major drop-off ledges nearby 😊 Also, to set you at ease, we had our club members in a Gladiator and a 392 conquering it in the past six months with “minimal” damage consisting of broken mirrors and tire rim scratches. Second obstacle is the Heart Attack Hill. It’s a steep short downhill. If you’ve done Telegraph Line or Widowmaker, this will be a non-issue for you. Not really that difficult, just more of a pucker factor for those new to off-roading. Expect 8 to 10 hour day from campsite and back to campsite so please plan accordingly! At the end of the day, you will proudly claim Badge of Honor for conquering it!

Saturday: Another long day starting at 8:00 AM. Same as the day before, please make sure your gas tank is full before starting this Adventure. Today we will conquer Los Pinos Mountain Loop. This is a level 4 blue trail. Few narrow and steep climbs but nothing too crazy. We will reach an elevation of 4,800 feet to enjoy phenomenal photogenic overlook spots. Heavy pinstriping is likely! This trail is expected to take about 4 hours. Towards the end of the trail and time permitting we will complete an optional one mile loop Sidewinder trail. This trail is short but it’s rock crawling obstacle after obstacle rated mandatory 6 to 7.
