Anza Borrego Offroad Adventure Group #3
Details
Come join us on an epic Off-Roading Adventure weekend through Anza Borrego State Park in California. November is one of the best times of the year to visit Anza Borrego with day temperatures averaging 73 – 85 degrees, and nights with 45-50 degrees. Perfect temperatures!
We have created a Group #3 (“Bypass”) to allow options for Friday – Sunday’s Off Roading trails. Most of the trails are rated 1-4 level.
Stock Jeeps are A-okay, but you will need off-road tires and a spare tire.
For comfort, make sure you can air down (and back up), it will be bumpy!!
We will be rolling through some scenic trails to explore, hike, and enjoy the state’s largest park and what it has to offer. Some include the Mud Cave, Sandstone Canyon, Wind Caves, The Slot, Pumpkin Patch, 17 Palms, and Fonts Point to name a few. And of course, the famous and beautiful Sky Art known as the metal sculptures.
PLEASE familiarize yourself with the State Park rule!
Friday- The adventure begins at 9:00AM at S2 (Sweeny Pass Road) and Sin Nombre Canyon Rd. We will be traveling approx. 52 miles of trail; anticipate a full day.
This is where we will do some sightseeing off the Fish Creek Wash trail to the Mud Caves, Sandstone Canyon, Wind Caves, etc.
Fish Creek Wash will take us all the way to BIM077 and then to CA78. Slightly east of Ocotillo Wells. Google Maps will show Novu Fuels on CA78. You can fuel up here or at Borrego Springs after the ride if you like.

We will end the day at Fonts Point to possibly catch the sunset. Ride ends at the S22 (Borrego Salton Sea Way) just east of Borrego Springs. Fuel and/or dinning can be had here.

LODGING:
Some of us are staying in Brawley, CA at The Brawley Inn Hotel & Conference Center Thursday – Friday and at Borrego Springs Resort on Saturday night.
Brawley, CA. is a great location because it is 45mins to Anza Borrego’s first meetup point on Friday. This location has a restaurant (The Burger and I) next to it, VONS grocery store behind it, and plenty of gas stations.
Borrego Springs, CA is another great location. Lots of hotels/motels, eateries, grocery stores, and a gas station. Incidentally, this town will be jumping this weekend due to a huge gathering of Astronomers.
If you need additional information or have questions regarding Group #3 posting, message Mira & Tim directly and they will be more than happy to provide further information and details.
