One sunny afternoon a few friends were enjoying a cold beer and having a great time. Sometime after the 3rd round, they realized that most people they knew were suffering at work. In a beer inspired moment they said, "There must be more of us!" Thus began the search for other fun loving people that enjoy a cold beer on a sunny afternoon. After all, beer drinkers are the best kind of people!
This Meetup is for people who enjoy the taste of a beer and know that it’s meant to be savored and talked about, rather than tipped thoughtlessly down the throat (well, sometimes it is)! If you are fun, outgoing, and have a positive attitude, we invite you to join The VALLEY BEER DRINKERS!
We’ll meet throughout the Valley for a pint or two at brew pubs, bars and restaurants. We will enjoy tastings, festivals and have other beer-themed events. Your participation is encouraged, so if you have a great idea for an event or outing please let us know!

The reorganized "Made in the Shade Beer Festival" is back on the schedule this year, but with its new name: FlagBeerFest. Now, it's a fundraising event for several non-profit organizations in Northern Arizona.
This event comprises (1) a Friday afternoon volunteers' setup of the event for tomorrow, (2) Friday night Happy Hour at Ft Tuthill USAF Rec Area and/or No-Host, Ad Hoc Flagstaff Brewery Tour/Dinner, (3) the Beer Festival Saturday afternoon starting at noon, & (4) Hopeful Recovery at Ft Tuthill 'til Sunday departure.

The actual event is only on SAT, June 21st, but set-up starts for volunteers on FRI and cleanup gets done on SUN - for survivors. Fortunately, as in years past, I have reserved some cabins at the Fort Tuthill USAF Rec Center, each housing 4 or more of us. The total cost is approx. $125/person for both FRI & SAT. To reserve a spot, please, contact me ASAP, since space is quite limited. Best choice of quarters go to earliest registrants. Call me ASAP.
Depending on drought conditions, we may be able to use the charcoal grills. There are fully furnished & modern kitchens in each cabin w/ microwaves and excellent motel-like accommodations. Lodging - Fort Tuthill
