Oh, Mappy Day! is Wednesday, April 9! GIS Day was such a hit last fall that we’re bringing the geospatial community together for another day of learning and fun this spring.

Join us 🧭 from 10am–1pm at UMass Amherst and 5–7pm at The Harp for a lineup of map-tastic events. Here's the latest schedule:

  • 10am–10:30am: Esri's Young Professionals Network — info session with Ava Healy, Morrill 245
  • 10:30am–11am: “Web Mercator? Just Say No!” — presentation by Andy Anderson (Amherst College), Morrill 245
  • 11am–12pm: “Mapping with Purpose: Skills for Real-World Impact” — keynote talk by Brian Baldwin (Esri), Morrill 245
  • 12pm–1pm: One-on-one networking with Brian Baldwin (Esri) + Coffee and Snacks, Morrill 243a / Rausch Mineral Gallery Conference Room

  • 5pm–7pm: Mappy Hour + Silly Map Competition + Map Trivia, The Harp Pub (163 Sunderland Rd., Amherst)
