August brings our meetup group to BuildDirect's Vancouver office to hear about "Configuring AWS ECS infrastructure with Terraform and the Segment Stack". Meet us in the lobby for access to the 19th floor for the meetup.

6:25pm - Introductions and Presentation Begins

Presentation Overview:
- Introduce Terraform, a tool for building, changing, and versioning infrastructure as code
- Configure an ECS cluster leveraging the Segment Stack, a set of Terraform modules for configuring production infrastructure with AWS
- Customize the Terraform code to add tasks to the ECS cluster to run microservices and workers using docker containers.

We will also briefly cover the use of AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild to setup a pipeline from a git repository to build the container and deploy different environments (dev, production) onto the ECS cluster.
