Welcome to “Your Questions, Expert Answers”, a featured Q&A session designed to empower your job search journey. This event is an opportunity for you to get your career-related questions answered by our career expert, Mher Mardoyan.
Why a Dedicated Q&A session?
- Expert Guidance: The advice and guidance from our expert can help you navigate your career path more effectively.

We aim to address around 30 questions during the session, allotting approximately 2 minutes for each question. We strongly encourage each participant to come prepared with 1-3 questions.
How to Prepare Your Questions Before the Event:
- Job Hunting Challenges: Reflect on the difficulties you’ve encountered during your job search. These could be related to finding suitable job openings, understanding job descriptions, or dealing with job rejections.
- Resume, Interview, Networking, and LinkedIn Profile: Consider any uncertainties or challenges you’ve faced in these areas. This could include understanding what to include in a resume, how to present yourself in an interview, effective networking strategies, or optimizing your LinkedIn profile.
- General Job Search Journey: Think about any other aspects of your job search journey that you’re unsure about. This could be related to salary negotiations, understanding job benefits, or deciding between multiple job offers.
How to Deliver Your Questions During the Event:
- Speak Up: Feel comfortable to ask your question directly during the Q&A session.
- Use the Chat: If you prefer not to speak, you can type your question into the chat box.
There’s no wrong way to ask a question. Whether you choose to speak up or use the chat, you’re engaging with the event and seeking the information you need. According to research, you’re standing out in multiple ways:

Mher Mardoyan
Mher Mardoyan has an MBA in Management with an emphasis in HR. He got his HR certification from BCIT in 2018 and CPHR BC and Yukon member.
For the past six years, he has interviewed more than 100 people from HR Managers, executives, entrepreneurs, and leaders for his YouTube channel. The purpose of his YouTube channel is to give tips to jobseekers to elevate their job search strategies.
He has been a career coach for the last six years and has helped many candidates with their job applications, resume/cover letter tips, LinkedIn Profile assessment, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
He has worked as both an in-house and agency recruiter. He has seen many candidates struggling in their job search especially if they are new to the country.
In his free time, Mher likes to walk his dog on the seawall, pamper his cat, paint, and read books.
