About the speaker
Hello, I'm Mahmood Rashid.As a seasoned information technology professional with over 20 years of experience, my key areas of expertise are cybersecurity architecture, design and assessments, IT governance, risk and compliance as well as enterprise architecture.
I established the Systems Management practice at HSBC and TELUS and have worked as an enterprise architect for various TELUS client business transformational projects with a focus on operational efficiency while maintaining principles of security and privacy by design. Most recently I provided IT and cybersecurity architecture services to QuadReal and hold board level positions at ISACA-Vancouver and other non-profit organizations.
My experience in developing vendor agnostic solutions to address business needs in various industries, such as technology, insurance, finance, telecommunications, manufacturing, construction, real-estate management, heavy industrial equipment and natural resources allows me to focus in on the critical areas important to these specific industries and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
