What we’re about
I learned more about myself and my own abilities by learning to sail a boat, than I did from all the University education and on the job training I had over the years. Sailing a boat with friends and family is quite an exceptional experience. It's empowering, it's confidence-building, it's challenging and the view from the water is amazing. There is something quite unique about harnessing the wind, the sails and the ocean current to transport myself from one place to another. I have seen whales, porpoises, harbour seals and submarines! I have met amazing people and made lifelong friends along the way.
The purpose of the group: to get people out on the water and connect with themselves, each other and the marine environment. To share knowledge, excitement and experience!
Who should join: those who are curious, those who wish to follow a dream, those who want to learn the ancient art of harnessing the wind and the ocean currents to travel by boat.
