What we’re about
Metro Vancouver Dads Group is a diverse community of fathers who take an active role in our children’s lives. We meet about twice per month, with our kids, at parks and playgrounds in various locations within Metro Vancouver.
We participate in many events hosted by Metro Vancouver Parks which is a fun way to connect our children to nature. Our outdoor events reveal the natural world through exploration and discovery and are offered year-round.
We run a Lego Club for the children during the winter months out of Coquitlam Public Library and we organize an annual camping Trip to Cultus Lake.
We share information in relation to parenting workshops to give our members an opportunity to learn, and support each other as we navigate parenthood. We have been featured on CBC, Headsupguys.org and Bell Media's Let's Talk.
There are not enough resources, social groups, or services for dads. This is a destination for active dads! A diverse group with dads of all stripes: Stay At Home Dads, Dads with flexible schedules, work from home dads, freelance dads, working dads, and involved fathers in and around Vancouver to socialize and interact with other guys who enjoy spending quality time with their children.
More than ever dads need to stay connected. Feel free to join our next meet up and meet some local dads and connect.
Group Rules
(1) We don't talk about Politics or any of the divisive topics of the day.
(2) If you cannot attend an event, please change your RSVP. If you no-show 3 times in one year, we remove your information from the group.
(3) We encourage all new members to attend a meetup within 3 months of joining. If you have not attended an event within the first 3 months, we will assume that you are no longer interested in the group and will remove your information.
(4) To stay a member of the group you must attend 1 meetup per year.
** Please note this group is strictly for Dads, we understand sometimes wives will join for their significant others but we encourage them to join on their own accord. We want this group to be a comfortable place for Dads to learn and talk about anything dad related.
