Let's paint at Van Dusen Botanical Gardens!
Details
Let’s meet at the Scottish Shelter, a covered stone structure near the pond, with a bench inside. This should give us some protection if it is raining.
We’ll meet at 1:00, disperse to paint and return to the shelter at 3 pm to share our work. If you happen to arrive late, just meet us at 3pm.
There are a few areas in the gardens that offer some modicum of protection from the rain. For instance, as you walk through the park, you might see the yellow birdwatching station near tbe Shaughnessy restaurant, or the Lath House structure, covered in vines, housing several picnic tables near the end of the laburnam and rhododendron walks. Walk through the heathers to find the Gazebo with views of the surrounding vegetation. Large trees, such as the cedar grove can provide some protection, as well as a covered bench at the end of the garden behind the maze.
I suggest bringing something dry to sit on, or a folding stool/chair, and to dress for the weather. The afternoon should be the driest part of the day. See photos of the beautiful fall colours from my walk today, Friday.

Van Dusen Garden Fee: Adults $15, Seniors $10.55. Or buy a season's pass, or a ten visit ticket.
I look forward to seeing you there!
