Spring Drawing and Painting at Central Park in Burnaby!
Details
Located in south Burnaby just east of Vancouver and about one kilometre southwest of Metrotown shopping centre, this urban forest park area features winding paths, quiet ponds and beautiful gardens. Watch ducks and geese on the pond nearby. Gaze at the majestic trees in this urban forest. There are good spots where you can view the lower pond scenes, or set up an easel next to a forest area. There is also another pond, less than a kilometre to the north of the lower pond where we’ll meet. There will be many interesting locations to paint and draw!
Bring an easel or a folding chair or stool or just use one of the benches or picnic tables there. Bring your drawing and painting supplies, which can be as simple as a pencil and paper. You can bring whatever art supplies and media you prefer. The forecast is for okay weather.
We'll meet at the lower pond picnic area just to the east of the Imperial/Pitch & Putt parking lot (off Imperial, east of Boundary Rd.), at 11:00 a.m. (note the earlier start time), and then spread out, and return to meet to share our work at 1:00 p.m.

Washrooms: There are washrooms close to the lower pond at the Central Park Pitch & Putt.
Public transit can get you from downtown Vancouver to the park location via the Expo Line (Patterson Station stop) and then about a 1-kilometre walk south from there to the pond at Central Park Pitch & Putt.
See you at Central Park!
