Escape Room Meetup - Gastown - Exit - Mafia
Details
Hi! Are you curious about escape rooms but have never had the chance to try one? Do you love escape rooms but have a hard time putting a team together? Are you looking to meet new people in Vancouver who enjoy puzzles? You are in the right place!
- We will book the spots for the escape room, so no planning needed!
- This is a prepaid event, so you must pay the fee to join in.
- Please arrive at the listed time. This is scheduled 15 mins ahead of the room time so that everyone can arrive, check in and sign waivers if applicable.
- No shows or last minute cancellations after the booking has been paid for will not receive refunds due to the non-refundable nature of the escape room businesses.
- If there is a cancellation/rescheduling of the of the event, you will receive a refund.
- If you ever want to join an event but all of our rooms appear to be full/sold out, please message me. I can sometimes find a way to add a person or two; and if I hear from a lot of people, I may even be able to book a whole extra room for the bonus folks so they can join in the fun!
- Please share the puzzles! We can be a big group and sometimes escape rooms don't have multiple puzzles to work on at one time, so only a few people may be able to work on a given puzzle. Share the love! If you've been the leader on a few puzzles in a row, kindly step back and let someone else have a turn.
- Check out their website for additional details: https://e-exit.ca/escape/games/mafia-ecape-room/

#### MAFIA : THE COMMISSION
As a young man living in the streets of New York in the year of 1930, you’ve heard and seen the atrocities of the Five Families. While scrounging about in a dark alley for food, you stumbled upon a group of people all in dressed in fancy clothing. A young man walks through the crowd towards you, as the young man closes the distance, you start to see his rugged face and feel his radiating confidence. He lowers himself down meeting you at your eye level and grabs a loaf of bread wrapped in a handkerchief from one of his friends. He doesn’t say a word, while keeping his eyes directed steadily at you, he hands you the loaf of bread. You take it instinctively. The young man then proceeds to stand up and walk away from you. As you watch him walk away, you see the group of people follow him; as he slowly vanishes the further, he gets so does the crowd. You look down and stared at the loaf of bread wondering who that man was but as your stomach started growling, without hesitation, you started eating the bread.
A year has gone by;
You’ve met and befriended a few associates from the Five Families. You tried learning about the syndicate from them; day by day, bit by bit. In the same year, you also had met a girl, about your age, named Andrea Baldacci. From the very beginning, ever since she has met you, she has treated you like family. She taught you a lot of things; how to read, how to behave, and most important of all, how to forgive. You slowly start to develop feelings for this young lady. As you walk towards the corner street, to meet up with Andrea, you start to see a crowd of people. It hits you and reminded you the day of when you were in an alleyway trying to scrounge for food. You slowly walk forward and enter the crowd. As you enter the crowd, fighting your way in, you see a lifeless body laying on the street. As you pan your eyes upwards, you slowly start to see who the person was. Even before your eyes reach the face of the lifeless body, you curl your fists and tears begin falling from your eyes. You keep asking yourself, in your head, why and who. As the anger inside you becomes increasingly intolerable, you hear the people around you whispering and talking. The mentions of the Five Families within the crowd of people fills your mind. You slowly look up with a dead stare and vowed that you will find the people who did this and make them pay.
A few days has gone by;
You arranged a meet up with one of the associates to “join” their family. The associate takes you to a safehouse belonging to their family. He welcomes you in, and with manners you learned from Andrea, you accepted and thanked the associate. Before entering, a flash of her face looking back and smiling at you appeared. You smiled and proceeded to walk in.
