Magical Island Hike: Mount Galiano on Galiano Island

This trip is a go! Join us for a day trip + hike on beautiful Galiano Island.

*** This hike is cross-posted in the Russian Speaking Adventure meetup. You don't need to speak Russian to join us!

We'll take a ferry from Tsawwassen ferry terminal as foot passengers and walk along the quiet island roads to the beginning of Mount Galiano hike. The hike is considered Easy (6km, 300m elevation gain). The total walking distance (island roads + the hike) will be around 20 km. We'll go at a moderate pace, stopping for pictures and to take in the beauty of the island.

Schedule

9:10 Meet at Tsawwassen Ferry terminal by the tickets.

9:55 Take a ferry to Galiano Island. Round-trip cost is $25.95.

10:50 Arrive to Galiano. Walk the island, hike Mount Galiano, if there's time, stop at Bellhouse Park.

19:55 Take the ferry back to Vancouver.

20:45 Arrive to Vancouver.

Make sure to bring:

• Proper footwear for walking and light hiking.

• Sun, wind, and rain protection.

• Good amount of food and water for the whole day.
