Bios:
Jove is one of the co-founders of Timeplus and focuses on product and community. He has over 20 years of experience in enterprise software product development and management. He previously was an Engineering Director at Splunk and held 17 Patents and 4 AWS Certifications. He is a board sports fanatic, incl. agile board.
Gang Tao is the co-founder and CTO of Timeplus. Gang has over 20 years of experience in software development, and is a recognized expert in AI, BI, Big Data, and Data Visualization. He was the principal engineer of Splunk's ML and Data platform. He's also a die-hard fan of AC Milan.
Abstract:
Congratulations, you may have put the real-time data into Kafka. Surely you can use Kafka API to consume it programmatically, but can you imagine running SQL directly on Kafka topics, even to build real-time dashboards and alerts without coding? In this talk, Gang and Jove from Timeplus will share various ways to run SQL on Kafka: Kafka Streams, ksqlDB, Flink, presto, materialize, and Timeplus. We will also share the use cases for building real-time monitoring and alerts with SQL on Kafka.
