On this occasion of Women’s day, I thought to set up our very first Inked Dupatta meet! The book club read for this meeting is ‘The Widows of Malabar Hill’ by Sujata Massey. The story is inspired from India’s first female lawyer Cornelia Sorabji. The protagonist Perveen Mistry is a clever, independent and determined young lady with an ambition to help those without a voice. Her disturbed personal life enhances her character and my personal favorite is the endearing father daughter relationship depicted through the narration. I hope you enjoy this book as thoroughly as I did!
I hope to see you at our very first book club meet to discuss The Widows of Malabar Hill.
